1. Agreement to Terms
By visiting our website at cutsbylev.com, booking an appointment, or receiving services at any Cuts By Lev location (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Shop”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services or website. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or book an appointment.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all clients, visitors, and users of our website and barbershop services at both of our locations:
- Premier Barbershop — 12 Nassau Blvd, Garden City, NY 11530
- Alex’s Barber Shop — 79 East Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801
2. Services
Cuts By Lev provides professional barbering and grooming services including but not limited to:
- Haircuts and fades
- Beard trims and shaping
- Hot towel shaves
- Hair styling and treatments
- Any additional grooming services offered at the time of your visit
Service availability may vary. We reserve the right to modify, add, or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice. All services are subject to the discretion and professional judgment of our licensed barbers.
3. Appointments and Booking
a) Booking
Appointments may be booked online through our website, by phone, or in person at the Shop. By booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
b) Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation of your appointment via email or text message. It is your responsibility to ensure that the contact information provided at the time of booking is accurate.
c) Arrival
We ask that clients arrive on time for their scheduled appointments. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in your appointment being shortened, rescheduled, or forfeited, depending on the availability of your barber and the needs of other clients.
d) Walk-Ins
Walk-in clients are welcome based on availability. We cannot guarantee service times for walk-in clients and reserve the right to serve scheduled appointment clients first.
4. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
We understand that plans change. However, out of respect for our barbers’ time and other clients, we ask that you provide adequate notice when you need to cancel or reschedule.
a) Cancellations
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more before your scheduled appointment: No penalty.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment: May result in a cancellation fee at our discretion.
b) No-Shows
Clients who do not show up for a scheduled appointment without any notice (“no-shows”) may be subject to a no-show fee or may be required to prepay future appointments. Repeated no-shows may result in the inability to book future appointments at Cuts By Lev.
c) How to Cancel
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us as early as possible through the website, by phone, or by the booking platform used to make the original appointment.
5. Pricing and Payment
a) Pricing
All service prices are listed on our website and/or posted in the Shop. Prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice. The price in effect at the time of your service will be the price charged.
b) Payment
We accept the following forms of payment:
- Cash
- Major credit and debit cards
- Digital payment platforms (where available, including Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, or Apple Pay)
Payment is due at the time of service. We do not offer billing or deferred payment unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
c) Gratuity
Gratuity is not included in service prices but is always appreciated by our barbers. Tips may be given in cash or through digital payment platforms where applicable.
d) Deposits
We reserve the right to require a non-refundable deposit to secure certain appointments, including but not limited to group bookings, special event bookings, or appointments with clients who have a prior history of no-shows. Deposits will be applied toward the total cost of the service.
6. Refund Policy
All sales for services rendered are final. Due to the nature of barbering and personal grooming services, we do not offer refunds once a service has been performed.
If you are dissatisfied with your service, please notify us at the time of your visit or within 48 hours of your appointment. We will make every reasonable effort to address your concern, which may include a complimentary adjustment service at the discretion of the Shop. Adjustments are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
We do not offer refunds for:
- Services already rendered
- Deposits for canceled appointments (unless cancellation was made 24+ hours in advance)
- Products purchased and opened
Refunds for unopened products purchased in the Shop may be considered within 7 days of purchase with a valid receipt.
7. Client Conduct and Right to Refuse Service
Cuts By Lev is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all clients and staff.
a) Expected Conduct
All clients are expected to treat our barbers and other clients with courtesy and respect. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or harassing behavior of any kind — whether verbal, physical, or online — will not be tolerated.
b) Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual at any time for any lawful reason, including but not limited to:
- Disruptive, abusive, or threatening behavior
- Intoxication or impairment
- Contagious skin conditions or scalp conditions that may pose a health risk to our barbers or other clients
- Violation of these Terms and Conditions
- Repeated no-shows or non-payment
Refusal of service does not entitle a client to a refund of any deposit paid.
c) Health and Hygiene
For the health and safety of all clients and staff, we reserve the right to decline services if a client presents with visible signs of a contagious skin, scalp, or health condition. This is not a personal judgment — it is a professional and health-based determination made at the discretion of our licensed barbers.
8. Children Policy
Children are welcome at Cuts By Lev. However:
- A parent or legal guardian must be present at all times during a child’s appointment.
- Children must remain seated and supervised while in the Shop to ensure the safety of all clients and staff.
- We reserve the right to stop a service if a child becomes uncooperative or disruptive in a way that prevents the barber from safely completing the service. In such cases, a partial charge may apply.
9. Personal Property
Cuts By Lev is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property while on our premises. Please keep your belongings with you at all times and do not leave valuables unattended.
10. Photographs and Social Media
We love celebrating our work and our clients. From time to time, we may photograph haircuts, fades, or other services for use on our social media accounts, website, and promotional materials.
- By remaining in the Shop after being informed of a photo being taken, you grant Cuts By Lev permission to use that image for promotional purposes.
- If you do not wish to be photographed, simply let your barber know before or during your service and we will respect your request.
- We will never publish photos that include your full name or personal identifying information without your explicit consent.
11. Website Use
a) Acceptable Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe on the rights of others or restrict their use of the site. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our booking system or website backend
- Posting false, misleading, or harmful content through any contact or review feature
- Scraping, copying, or republishing website content without permission
b) Intellectual Property
All content on cutsbylev.com — including text, images, logos, graphics, and branding — is the property of Cuts By Lev and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without express written permission.
c) Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or booking platforms. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. Visiting third-party links is at your own risk.
12. Online Booking Platform
Our appointment booking may be managed through a third-party scheduling platform. By using that platform, you also agree to that platform’s own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the performance, security, or data practices of third-party booking tools.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cuts By Lev and its owner(s), barbers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Any injury, reaction, or adverse outcome resulting from a service where accurate and complete information was provided by the client
- Any loss or damage arising from reliance on information provided on our website
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website
Our total liability to any client for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by that client for the specific service in question.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cuts By Lev, its owner(s), employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your use of our services or website, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.
15. Health Disclosures
It is your responsibility to inform your barber of any known allergies, skin sensitivities, scalp conditions, or medical conditions that may be relevant to the services you are receiving. Cuts By Lev will not be held liable for reactions or outcomes resulting from undisclosed health conditions or allergies.
16. Modifications to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services or website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Nassau or Nassau County, New York.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cuts By Lev regarding your use of our website and services, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
